CALL TO ORDER
6:30 Minutes for the December meeting unavailable (permanently lost).
6:31 Discussion of Weinstein event. Lori has contacted Elliott Bay, who has agreed to cosponsor the event. Karen Maeda Allman at Elliott Bay will assist. They will take 5% of the book sales. Lori made a motion to approve Elliott Bay's involvement with awareness that it will incur an expense. Martin seconded. All ayes. Lori offered to make up the difference if there is a shortfall.
Finances: Eastside has pledged $200. National has not yet responded to requests to sponsor us.
Publicity: Elliott Bay, plus Lori will contact ACLU. Damon has contacted two entities at Fort Lewis, the newspaper and the website. Website has responded, directed us to Public Affairs Office.
Day of event: Damon to coordinate the volunteers.
6:50 Lori moved to schedule a meeting about Weinstein. Damon seconded, all ayes. We will meet on February 6, after attending the Darwin Day event at Discovery Institute.
New Business:
Martin is running for Kent City Council. Election is in November. He will no longer be able to be President of the chapter due to National bylaws. He will continue to act as President until January 2009 unless the campaign eats too much of his time.

Action items:
Martin -- Notify the rest of the board when the walk-through at Town Hall is scheduled. Send Damon a list of positions and volunteer names for Weinstein. Contact UPS student to publicize event.
Damon -- Send Weinstein flier to Seattle Atheists email list. Create a timeline for 2/16, with assignments for all available people. Update website with next meeting: 6PM 2/13, Greenwood. Contact Mark ??? at UW, see if he wants to come to DI event. Contact FFRF, see if they'll notify their Seattle membership about Weinstein.
Lori -- Send Weinstein flier to ACLU. Contact KUOW about a Weinstein spot on Friday, 2/15. Lori to contact Rosalyn Singer to help her arrange transportation to the event.
All -- Come up with one event that we can do sometime in the future.
