CALL TO ORDER

6:45 The board reviewed the minutes from the August meeting. Motion was made by Martin to approve the minutes. Seconded by Lori. Vote: All ayes.

6:50 Martin: Motion to approve $60 expenditure for a table for tabling events. Lori seconded. All ayes.

6:51 Discussed newsletter. Response has been good

6:52 Discussed reading list on website (looking good) and letter-writing campaign. Status: 40 letter sent to Senator Murray.

6:53 Discussion of meeting locations. Greenwood is booked on Thursdays in October, so we will continue to use Ballard.

6:55 Treasury report from Martin.

6:55 Discussed Dave Miller's speaking event on Sep. 27 at UU Church. Martin and Damon will table.

6:56 Reviewed list of zip codes covered by AU Chapter territory. Includes zip codes in Edmonds, Everett, Federal Way, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Mukilteo, Redondo. Martin moved to approve list. Seconded by Lori. All ayes.

6:57 Discussion of changes to organizational structure. Martin moved to approve, Lori seconded. All ayes.

7:00 Discussion of expansion of contact database to include "lost" contacts that were inadvertently dropped from our list. Those contacts have been re-added. Martin suggested creating a postcard to send to new members who make financial contributions.

7:10 Damon reported on CAIR event

7:20 Discussed Klinghoffer event. Lori and Damon will attend.

7:30 Discussed bylaw additions and organizational structure changes proposed by Martin. Martin moved to approve. Damon seconded. All ayes.

ACTION ITEMS

Martin: work out financing of $60 table with Richard, contact Barry Christianson about Doug Cowan teacher in Tacoma who is planning to use a Discovery Institute textbook

Damon: create a "thank you" postcard to send to new members who make financial contributions. research Doug Cowan, announce Klinghoffer event

Damon and Lori: research Faith and Freedom Network

Lori: collect administrator names, contact info for different school districts.
